Shree Krishna Janmashtami Celebration at Mother Old Age Home

The Mother Old Age Home was filled with joy and devotion as the residents gathered to celebrate Shree Krishna Janmashtami. The event began with soulful bhajans dedicated to Lord Krishna, performed by a local group of volunteers. The elderly residents, dressed in colorful traditional attire, joined in, clapping and singing along.

A beautifully decorated idol of baby Krishna was placed at the center of the hall, surrounded by flowers and lights. The highlight of the event was the ceremonial “Dahi Handi” ritual, where the staff and younger visitors enthusiastically participated in breaking the pot, symbolizing Krishna’s playful nature.

The atmosphere was lively, with everyone sharing sweets and Prasad, making the day even more special. The elderly residents shared stories of their own Janmashtami memories from childhood, bringing a sense of nostalgia and warmth to the celebration.

The event concluded with a heartfelt aarti, leaving everyone with a sense of peace and divine connection. It was a day filled with love, joy, and a strong sense of community at the Mother Old Age Home.
